My Review

Wow! I love a good mystery/thriller. When I saw the info on this book I was immediately intrigued and had high expectations for the storyline. The author did not disappoint! She had me right from Chapter 1 all the way to the end. In fact, I found it extremely difficult to put it down.

This book is a fast paced thriller which I love. I dislike solving a mystery early on in the story and then struggle to read the rest of it while the characters catch up. Not the case here! Each chapter brought a new clue, twist, and layer to the story that left me guessing. I can honestly say I was not able to put all the clues together and solve the case until near the end just before the characters did. That means the author did their job!

The only critique I have is the actual ending of the book. While it did solve the “who-dun-it” question, I felt it was very abrupt and left me asking some questions (I won’t give them away!). I would have liked to see a more finalized ending, not only to the case, but things in Josie’s life as well.

Overall this was a fantastic thriller that had me on the edge of my seat. Although this is book two in the series, I did not feel like I was missing anything by not reading the first book so this could be read as a stand alone in my opinion.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review which I have given.
