Here’s my Reviews:

Under the Harvest Moon:

I loved the way that Beth wrote Naomi’s character. Here is a woman who suffered great abuse, however even after her husbands death kept it secret thinking it was her fault. I can only imagine the sigh of relief she breathed after her husbands funeral as she was about to start on the adventure of single parenting. At least she could do things without worrying about the consequences. Knowing there are women out there who probably feel the same as Naomi, I am so glad Beth wrote this in a realistic way. I feel it is easier to connect to her character by doing so. Beth did a fantastic job of bringing in Englischer Brook Mulligan. He was exactly the type of man Naomi needed in order to grow and move on. Although in novella form, I did not feel at all like this storyline was rushed. I hope I get to see more of this couple in the future!!

Love and Buggy Rides

Amy has capture my heart yet again with this wonderful story about Janie and Jonathan. It seems like these two just shouldn’t be together based on a few factors explained in the book and yet you find yourself rooting for them. But a love like theirs certainly doesn’t come without obstacles, and Amy has written them well. I love Amy’s descriptive words throughout the story. She writes in a way that allows me to see the story play out in my head like a projector. I gasped, cried, laughed and smiled right along with the characters. I just wish I could see what happens next for Janie and Jonathan!

A Quiet Love

What a sweet story about Dinah and Amos. I’m so glad Kathleen decided to write about characters that are different than the norm, especially in Amish fiction. Kathleen did a beautiful job of bringing these characters together in an innocent and natural way. I could tell that either Kathleen has experience with autistic young people or did a lot of research on the topic. I felt she was spot on in her characteristics of Amos, his mannerisms, and the way he handled situations. I would love to see an entire novel either on this couple, or a similar couple!

Mischief in the Autumn Air

I loved reading this story about Martha and Eli! No two people could be less ready for romance in their life…..but sometimes God has a better plan! The part that captured my attention was about the maps on the furniture. I found myself wondering what they were all about, where would they lead and what was the treasure at the end? I think a lot of times we are so busy about everyday life that we forget to look around, learn about our history and community and take it for granted. This was a pleasant reminder to look into those things. After all, we just might find a treasure at the end!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review which I have given.
